Another ‘Real Housewives’ Star Reveals Scary Health Struggle After Trip

Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip stars are speaking out about serious health struggles they say began during an unaired season filmed in Morocco

Another star from Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip has opened up about a serious health scare following a trip to Morocco — and she says she’s still dealing with the effects four years later.

Vicki Gunvalson, 63, shared on Jeff Lewis’ SiriusXM radio show that she became sick during the filming of the show, just like fellow castmate Brandi Glanville.

“You know, Brandi is in a lot of pain,” Gunvalson said. “We all got sick when we went to Morocco.

Still Battling Symptoms

Gunvalson revealed she’s been undergoing colonic treatments three times a week, trying to feel better.

“My stomach’s bloated, I don’t feel good. I feel tired. I feel lethargic,” she explained. “I don’t go poop.”

During one of her sessions, she said a practitioner told her she was “loaded with parasites.”

To fight the illness, she’s been taking two doses of Ivermectin every month — but she says it hasn’t worked.

“It’s not killing it. I think this parasite likes to be in me,” she added.

Brandi Glanville’s Struggles Continue Too

Brandi Glanville, who was on the same (unaired) season of RHUGT, has also spoken openly about her post-trip health battle.

“I’ve had days of looking normal — not weeks. I wish,” she told Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast in late 2024. “Over the weekend, it was only swollen on the right side of my face, so I looked like I had a really big meatball in the right side of my cheek.”

Beyond the physical pain, Glanville said the toll has been emotional and mental.

“The pain is more mental than anything. I have been hiding and going through a deep, deep depression,” she shared. “Even if I could work now, at this point, I couldn’t. It’s been a really rough two years.

What Happened in Morocco?

The season that featured both women was never aired, and while the exact source of the illness remains unclear, both stars now say that something they were exposed to in Morocco may be behind their ongoing symptoms.

Their stories serve as a reminder that even glamorous trips can have unexpected, long-lasting consequences.
