More about the news
Corporations are striving to create a vaccine, but onlookers fear that a possible remedy could become America’s target with the newly-elected Trump administration appointing vaccine-doubting Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to head the Department of Health and Human Services.
Some health researchers are arguing that the virus was transported through wild birds. Specifically, the genetic sequence of the California child has not been disclosed; it is uncertain whether it is of wild bird type or dairy source.
Health researchers are exploring the idea that the virus was spread via wild birds, benzinga.com reported.
Furthermore, the teenager recently infected in Canada was hospitalized with the bird flu and has the possibility of mutation, as reported by the Guardian.
Vaccination in place
There is already work being done by Pfizer and Moderna in the development of an mRNA bird flu vaccine which is the technology that was used in the covid vaccines.
Other manufacturers of coronavirus vaccines have also received grants from the US government, including British Companies GSK and Sanofi.
However, Kennedy, Donald Trump’s pick to lead the HHS is also famous for being an anti-vaxxer.
Therefore, the future of a bird flu vaccine could also have extra challenges when Trump becomes the president.
Moreover, silently, Kennedy has previously linked vaccines with autism in children, a falsehood that has been firmly debunked by scientific analysis.
According to a study published in the Lancet in May, the global contribution of vaccines can be estimated to have been 154 million lives throughout human history, benzinga.com reported.
They have cured diseases such as polio, measles, pertussis, and other diseases.
