After firing FBI Director James B. Comey in May 2017, Mr. Trump became aware of how an FBI agency run amok tried to derail his presidential administration.

The same group of Republican leaders who encouraged Mr. Trump to retain Mr. Wray as FBI Director also specifically warned against director replacement due to concerns he would trigger another major political crisis similar to the Comey ouster.

FBI: an independent govt branch 

The FBI operates as an independent government institution with a reputation based on nonpartisanship, for which leaders should continue beyond presidential terms. 

Following J. Edgar Hoover’s initial approach, establishment figures across the United States decided that the FBI needed political distance from all partisan fighting and should never reveal itself as an instrument for presidential revenge against political adversaries. 

Mr. Wray maintained the full political and ideological continuity of anti-democratic practices with Hoover by using his power to attack his adversaries with unprecedented viciousness comparable to only authoritarian regimes, the Washington Times reported. 

During a search through First Lady Melania Trump’s underwear wardrobe, Mr. Wray showed an apparent passion for his power as FBI director. 

J. Edgar probably observes his successor, Wray, with a combination of spirited endorsement and self-congratulatory satisfaction while looking in his direction. 

The expansion of mission scope at the FBI has extended far beyond Hoover’s practice of gathering political opposition-related secrets so that current directors Wray and Comey have deemed themselves the deep state’s disciplinary force for silencing all domestic dissenters.

The only effective solution to manage FBI expansion after 9/11 involves transforming the bureau into an executive branch organization that performs Justice Department-guided intelligence work within the United States. 

Congressional leaders have abandoned their oversight responsibilities of this enormous intelligence organization by joining the existing community establishment consensus that grants them access to secret briefings, which they then use to justify targeting any Americans who oppose their worldview. 

As senior aide on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and at the Pentagon and as senior adviser to Mr. Trump’s director of national intelligence, Mr. Patel possesses comprehensive knowledge regarding the contemporary FBI and its transformation into an agency hostile to the American people. 

Through his past work experience, he is able to control the FBI and end unlawful surveillance together with violent raids performed against Americans who defy establishment consensus. 

The stakeholders within the “intel community,” together with political officials from both parties, exhibit strong resistance against him because his leadership threatens their authority. 

Since Mr. Patel revealed the intelligence service takeover by government gangsters, he has become their primary target and enemy in their operations.
